Research : Cast away and Helpless Guardian.

I loved the book that my father read to me as a child, "Robinson Crusoe". When I was a teenager, the movie "Cast away" was released. so after reading the review of the film or sooner, I decided to watch it, because as a result it turned out that it had many features in common with the book. When I watched the movie for the first time, I couldn't stop thinking what a wonderful creation that movie was. After watching the movie, I watched it again and again, and over time I began to recognize and remember the movie's dialogue and scenes. The main role in this film was played by Tom Hanks but directed and produced by Robert Zemeckis.

Cast Away (2000) by Robert Zemeckis.

This film was released in 2000 and shot on Monuriki Island, one of the Fiji islands. Tom Hanks packed on 50 pounds before filming started. After most of the movie 50% was filmed the stop recording to so that he could lose weight and grow his hair and beard to look more realistic while on the island. The movie's power and effect center on the island. Chuck, the time-and-motion man, finds himself in a world without clocks, schedules, or much of a future. There's something wonderfully pathetic about the way he shouts "Hello? Anybody?" at the sand and trees. Those are his last words for a time, as he tries to remember childhood lessons about firemaking and shelter construction. Then there's a four-year flash-forward and we see the formerly plump Chuck as a gaunt, skinny survivor.(Ebert 2000). While on the island filming the movie, Tom Hanks would hurt his leg and it would be so serious that he could even die. He was taken to a local hospital and treated there for 3 weeks. He states: "[Cast Away] put me in the hospital. I was there for three days with something that, believe it or not, almost killed me."I got an infection from a cut and it was eating its way through my leg. I didn't know it, I just thought I had a sore."He added: "I went to the doctor who took one look and said, 'I have to put you in the hospital because we have to get this infection out of you before it poisons your blood and you die'."(Smithers 2020). The film reflects realism and the will to survive, it shows how hard people try to survive even in the most difficult stages of life. The film was also shot in difficult weather conditions, which makes everything look authentic. When I watched this film, I was as if dazzled, I started to think about many aspects of life and how wonderful it is to see a work of such wonderful acting and directorship on screen.

When I was thinking about the context, idea, concept for my photos, I also remembered this film, which has a lot of ideas and how loneliness is reflected. While exploring the film, I again came across another connection with my work, namely angel wings. It was this decoration on the FedEx packet that uralized and kept him alive. At the end of the movie, he delivers this package to the ranch with angel wings. This may seem strange, but I see some connections in my photos. Namely, how certain details can play a very important role in our lives. ...The symbology of the angel wings on the package prevented Chuck from opening it, and saw it as a sign that he was destined to deliver the package. After the realization of Kelly's new life, he sets out on a journey to Texas to deliver the unopened package...Chuck sees the back of the woman's truck is painted with angel wings.(Colangelo 2022).In general, I really like this movie and I see many common features, such as the wings at the end giving hope, light for helpless situations and more.
