Further Artist Research Fernando Guerra.

Fernando Guerra he is a Portugal architecture photographer born in Lisbon in 1970. ''Fernando takes a minimalist approach to equipment, and has narrowed down his list of favourite architectural photography kit to two reliable lenses and a mirror less full-frame camera. "The more that I shoot, the less I need," he says. "It's all about the gear. Camera model what he use is a Canon EOS R5 and a Canon EOS 5DS R, Fernando has switched to the mirror less EOS R System, with which he's able to use his core lenses from Canon's TS-E lens range, as well as mirror less full-frame RF lenses''(Fulford and Hawkins, 2024). Fernando Guerra working focusing manually , only with depth of field to create layered images, with everything in focus (Fulford and Hawkins, 2024). Many time he use a longer shutter speed to blur people walking in front of a building while the building stays sharp. Using a lens Canon TS-E 24mm  helping him to avoid a distortion with wide angle and range.

Vigario House is a Dialog Between Old and New / AND-RÉ, Fernando Guerra

In this photography we can modern house connect with old part of house. Interesting geometric shape and texture also. Picture was taken late afternoon where the sun was getting close to sunset. He use probably aperture f4 or f5.6, with ISO 400 or 800. That picture for me is a bad example of art. For me that is more commercial for wellbeing purpose that why i find another example below. During the research I like the artist's work less and less that why I have to do a deeper research to know more about his work.

Student Residence by Richter, Dahl, Rocha, Switzerland, Fernando Guerra 2015

That piece of work i great example how to made a good picture. Taken on a Canon EOS 5DI with a 45mm f/2.8 lens at 1/13 sec, f/2.8 and ISO 640 (Richards, 2024). On the picture we can see a living part of building probably students residence. With long exposure people is blurring where building have still good contrast , shape and sharp. Colours on the walls putting in the pattern where one part of the door or wall is different, red top right corner. All that make busy all that environmental and curious. We can see many spots with the light in the corners and in the middle also . That picture present human live in architecture soul. Colours is not strong but that pastels shades give a character that image. Picture was capture late afternoon with extra  supporting light. That clearly show me how to made good picture with simple settings. That what i like in this picture and what is relative to my work is  the colours, one by one is a different and all together creating a pattern. From far apart creating curious shape and picture. That what I don't like in this picture is quite dark character and shadow, brightness photography. I will be try focus also on the simply setting but explore that with range move.
